She was best recognized as Princess Leia in the Star Wars film series. Her last name sounds familiar? Actually, Carrie is the daughter of the famous couple Eddie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds. She was born on October 21, 1956, in Burbank, California.

Just like her parents, Carrie also entered show business and had her debut in the 1970s. Her first film project was Shampoo, which was released in 1975. A few years later, she landed a major credit in Star Wars IV – A New Hope, alongside Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill. Since then, she appeared in most movies of one of the most successful franchises in history. Apart from the big screen, she also appeared on television in shows like Sex and the City and Smallville. Carrie also wrote the screenplay of the Meryl Streep starring film Postcards from the Edge. After her passing in 2016, at age 60, she became a Disney Legend and the prestigious Grammy Awards gave her a posthumous Best Spoken Word Album award.
